Hanna started her career in the corporate world where she held positions in Financial Planning, Leasing, Treasury, and Debt and Investment Management requiring extensive travel between the companies’ subsidiaries in the U.S. and Europe. In 2006 Hanna became an independent financial advisor initially with SII Investments before she joined Newport Advisory in 2009.
Given her international work experience, German upbringing and love for travel, Hanna is in a unique position to understand different cultures, currencies, and economies. As a result, Hanna’s clients appreciate the global perspective she brings to her work.
Hanna serves individual clients and non-profit organizations. She provides comprehensive wealth management services tailored to each client’s unique financial situation. Her goal is to help clients make better financial decisions, so they have freedom from worry and more time to pursue their passions and dreams.
Born and raised in Germany, Hanna graduated from the Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich, with a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics and Accounting. For the last 25 years Hanna has enjoyed living in the San Francisco Bay Area with the natural cooling provided by the fog moving in from the ocean when it gets too hot.
She loves to entertain friends in her home, and showing off San Francisco to visitors from all over the world. Hanna’s latest project is helping to establish a city sister relationship between San Francisco and Kiel, a city in Northern Germany. In her free time, she likes going to the symphony, restaurants, reading (yes, physical books and the daily paper), knitting, and sports such as skiing and tennis. She tries to hit the gym three times a week; an activity she enjoys mostly after the workout is done.
Hanna is involved in her neighborhood association and is active at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA), and the Hanson McClain Retirement Network.
